The National Weather Service ( NWS ) says we may have rain on Thanksgiving Day.
The forecast for the Imperial and Yuma areas says seasonable and dry conditions will prevail into the early part of the week but , another weather system is approaching from the northwest by midweek likely bringing periods of rain by Wednesday before tapering off later in the week. Initial forecasts call for a 30% chance of rain Wednesday increasing to 40% Wednesday night and 50% on Thanksgiving Day. Anywhere from a quarter to a half inch of rain can be expected. The high temperature on Thanksgiving Day is expected to be in the low to mid-60's. Overnight lows will drop0 to the low to mid-40's.
