Two Pick-ups Collide

Two pick-ups, one a U.S. Border Patrol vehicle, collided Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of W. County 14th Street and S. Somerton Avenue in Yuma. Yuma Couty Sheriff's Office reports that the Border Patrol pick-up apparently failed to stop at a red light at the intersection and collided with a 2014 Chevy Silverado that was northbound on S. Somerton. The Border Patrol pick-up rolled over and struck a utility pole. Both drivers sustained non-life threatening injuries and were take to Oneida Health. The accident remains under investigation.
