Police are investigating the death of a 35-year old man.

El Centro Police responded to a ditch bank near North Imperial Avenue Friday night at about 7:25 p.m. after receiving reports of a woman yelling for help. Officers discovered a 35-year-old man who was not breathing. Responding emergency personnel determined that the man was dead and the Imperial County Coroner's Office was notified. The death is believed to be the result of a drug overdose. The incident remains under investigation.
