(Border Patrol arrests convicted sex offender)...El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents made the arrest Monday.

The agents were working out of the Indio Station. They conducted a vehicle stop on Interstate 10 and Dillon Road. While interviewing the occupants of the vehicle, agents determined two of them did not pocess the proper documents to legally be in the United States.. Three individuals were arrested and taken to the El Centro office to be processed. A records check revealed one of the individuals, a 36 year old male Mexican National had prior criminal and immigration history. He had previously been convicted of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor ubnder the age of 14. An immigration Judge had also ordered the man deported from the US. Since October, El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents have arrested and/or removed six individuals either convicted or wanted on sexual offense charges.
