(Man tries to re-enter the United States)....The man had previously been deported from the US.

Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents found Jose Lagos Gomez and another man near Interstate 8 and Ogilby Road. Both men are Honduran Nationals. Both men were arrested and taken to the Yuma Station for processing. A records check revealed that Lagos Gomez had a felony conviction for sexual assault in 2018 in Beaumont, Texas. He was sentenced to two years in prison before being deported. Agents say the man will be prosecuted for re-entry of a convicted felon following a previous removal.
