(Border Patrol Rescues a man)....It happened over the Memorial Day Weekend.

The El Centro Sector Border Patrol recieved an early morning call. The man who made the call said he had entered the United States illegally with a group. He said the group left him behind. He said he was lost in the mountains and he needed help. Agents responded to the area using the GPS coordinates provided by the callers cell phone. The lost person was found at just before 9:00 am in the Jacumba Wilderness Area near Ocotillo. The man, a Mexican National, was medically assessed, and transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Since October, El Centro Border Patrol agents have rescued 125 individuals abandoned by smugglers, lost or in distress.
