Firefighters from Mexico are heading to Los Angeles.
Mexican President Claudia Scheinbaum said Friday that a team of firefighters and military personnel would be assisting fire crews battling the devastating Los Angeles county fires. The team will consist of National Forestry Commission firefighters and relief specialists from the Ministry of Defense. California Governor Gavin Newsom said on X " California is deeply grateful for President Claudia Sceinbaum's support as we work to suppress the Los Angeles wildfires". The Mexican personnel are expected to arrive in the Los Angeles area by Saturday, after clearing immigration procedures.
