(Progress in the Los Angeles Fires)....In some cases the progress is slow.

Imperial Valley Fire fighters and equipment are in the Los Angeles area assisting in the fight to suppress the fires. At last report, there have been 10 deaths as a result of the fires. The original Palisades Fire has burned over 20,400 acres and is only 8% contained. The Eaton Fire has burned almost 14,000 acres and destroyed 4,000 structures. 2 Civilians have also died as a result of that fire. The Eaton Fire is only 3% contained. The Hurst Fire has burned 771 acres and containment is at 37% The smallest of the fires, the Lidia Fire has burned 395 acres and is 75% contained. The latest fire, the Kenneth Fire was set by an arsonist. It has burned 1,000 acres. That fire is 35% contained and a suspect is in custody. The cause of the other fires are under investigation.
