(Two fatals, one injured)...It was a single vehicle collision.

It occurred Christmas Even, east of In-Koh-Pah on Interstate 8. A 70 year old man was driving the vehicle west on the Interstate. The CHP says the vehicle went off the roadway, went aloft and crashed down in the eastbound lanes. The driver and a 62 year old female front-seat passenger suffered fatal injuries. A 56 year old female rear-seat passenger was injured. She was flown to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego with major injuries. The CHP says the collision remains under investigation.
