(Yuma Guidelines)….The guidelines have been issued by the Yuma County Sheriff's Office.
They say discharging firearms into the air is illegal. Fireworks can be used on private property, but not on public property, including parks, sidewalks, streets and right of ways, except by permit for supervised public display. They say anything designed or intended to rise into the air and explode or detonate in the air is strictly illegal. It is also unlawful to sell, offer or expose for sale, use, explode or possess any of the illegal fireworks. They encourage residents to be safe, responsible and courteous to neighbors. If you have pets, keep them inside if fireworks are being used.
