Yuma County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early Thursday morning shooting.

Deputies responded to a report of gunshots in the area of 5th Street and May Avenue at about 1:51 a.m. Thursday. According to reports a 25-year old man was in the area of 5th and May when a dark colored sedan approached him and an unidentified man fired multiple rounds at the victim. The man was struck once in the leg. The victim took himself to Yuma Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released. The incident remains under investigation.
