The fire ignited a brush fire that has grown into a major incident. Cal Fire responded. Officials say the fire, now called the McCain Fire, quickly spread to 20 acres. By Tuesday morning the fire had burned over 1,000 acres. Evacuation orders were issued, with the Acorn Casino designated a temporary evacuation Center. At last report, there had been one injury. No structures had been damaged and none had been destroyed. At last report, 7 fire crews were on scene, with 223 firefighters. 10 other crews have been assigned. 4 helicopters, 14 engines, 2 dozers and 2 water tenders are working the fire. At last report it was 5 percent contained.
