(Long-time El Centro City Council member)....Cheryl Viegas Walker says she will not be seekinhg re-election.

The City of El Centro has two City Cou ncil seats on the November 8th ballot. The current Mayor of the City of El Centro Tomas Oliva says he will be seeking re-election. Walker says, after 25 years as a councul member, she will not seek another term. She announced her plans in an email. The deadline to submit candidacy papers is August 12. In the one race, the deadline will be extended because the incumbent will not be filing.
