(Annual County Report)....It was delivered by the current Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Jesus Eduardo Escobar.

The State of the County Address was delivered at the Gran Plaza Outlets in Calexico. It was an outdoor, in-person event, a point brought up by the District one supervisor at the beginning of the address. Escobar said he was proud of the accomplishments in the county, especially in a very difficult pandemic year. He said he was very proud to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, but more importantly to serve with his fellow board members. He attributed the past accomplishments to a united board and a county team of about 2,400 people. He gave special mention to the handling of the COVID pandemic, as well as the Public Works projects to rehab roads and bridges in the county. The list of past accomplishments was long and led to the current efforts to make Lithium Valley a tangible reality for the region. Escobar indicated with the current management team and group of employees, the future for the county was very bright. He said the county was united, and there was strength in unity.
