A man was fatally injured when he apparently jumped out of a moving car.

Few details are available but according to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 3:00 p.m. on Highway 78 just south of Palo Verde. Apparently, a man jumped out of a moving SUV and sustained fatal injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
