The Imperial County Board of Supervisors honored a Calexico legend.

The board adopted a resolution last week honoring the late Hildy Carrillo. Carrillo was remembered for her lifetime of service, leadership, and contributions to Calexico and the Imperial Valley. . Carrillo served as Co-Publisher and Editor of the Calexico Chronicle and as Executive Director of the Calexico Chamber of Commerce. The proclamation was accepted by family members John Moreno and Victor Carrillo.
