(Josue Mercado could receive jail time)...Josue Mercado will be in court Thursday.

He is scheduled to be sentenced for his recent convictions. The former County Auditor/Controller was recently convicted of two felonies and one misdemeanor. The County Probation Department has reportedly submitted their sentencing report. They are reported recommended four years in County Jail. They are recommending 3 years for misappropriation of public funds, one year for the other felony count and 180 for the misdemeanor count of willful disobedience of a court order. Whatever sentence is handed down will be the decision of Judge Poli Flores, the presiding judge in the case.
