(The search is on)...The Calexico Superintendent of Schools Carlos R. Gonzalez recently announced he would be leaving the position on June 30th.

Shortly after the announcement, the Calexico Unified School District initiated the search for a replacement. The District has secured the support of Education Support Services, a consulting firm that assists school districts with superintendent searches, Governance training, human resources and more. They are accepting applications through April 18. After the deadline, the consultants will screen the qualified candidates and present a list to the School District. The District hopes to have a candidate for the position by their meeting on May 26th.
