A senior housing project in Imperial will get funding from the state.

The Imperial Senior Housing project proposed by EAH, Inc of San Rafael has been awarded $15.6 million under the California Housing Accelerator program. The program designed to fund affordable housing projects. The Imperial project is one of 27 projects statewide that shared in $923 million in awards a part of the $1.75 billion dollar investment to provide bridge funding to shovel-ready projects that were otherwise unable to begin construction because of a shortage of federal tax credits and bonds. The Imperial Senior Housing project includes a total of 68restricted units.
