(Border Patrol arrests convicted sex offender)...It happened Tuesday afternoon.

El Centro Sector Border Patrol Agents assigned to the Calexico Station encountered an individual illegally entering the United States in the desert, east of Calexico. Agents took the individual to El Centro for processing. A records check revealed the individual was a 40 year old Mexican National with prior criminal and immigration history. The individual had also been convicted of having sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 18 and was ordered removed from the US by an immigration judge. Since October 1, 2021, El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents have arrested and or removed seven individuals either convicted/or wanted on sexual offense charges.
