It includes parts of the Coachella Valley and all of Imperial County. Garcia announced the grants this week. On December 8th, the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program released their list of successful grants. $44.2 million in grants were on the list for the 56th Assembly district. The grants are made possible through proposition 68, State of California Parks and Water Bond 2018, authored by Assemblyman Garcia. In Imperial County, the City of Calipatria will receive $7 million. The City of El Centro will receive $5.7 million, and Heber will receive almost $1.6 million
