The Department of Homeland Security has released details for fully vaccinated , non-citizen travelers to enter the U. S. at land border crossings.

According to DHS , non-citizen travelers who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and have appropriate documentation will be permitted to enter the U. S. via land ports of entry starting November 8 , 2021. The change in rules eases restrictions on non-essential travelers. Starting November 8 , when arriving at a U. S. port of entry , non-citizen travelers should be prepared to  ( 1 ) provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and ( 2 ) verbally attest to their reason for travel and COVID-19 vaccination status during a border inspection. DHS says that beginning November 7 the Tecate and Andrade ports of entry will resume operations from 6 AM to 10 PM and the Calexico east port of entry will resume expanded hours of 6AM to 10PM on November 8.
