An early morning accident ended with a car in a canal.

The accident was reported at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday on De Palo Road. Two occupants of the vehicle were able to get out of the 3 foot deep water and were not injured. The car remained in the canal until it could be retrieved later Sunday morning. The accident remains under investigation.
