(Active COVID cases)....They have gone down, slightly. New COVID numbers were released Thursday morning.

The numbers are provided by the County Public Health Department. According to the Thursday update, active cases of COVID 19 in Imperial County are now at 508. That is down slightly from the 516 reported on Tuesday. There are 31 COVID positive patients hospitalized countywide. Nine of thoise are in Intensive Care. State Tier Metrics for Imperial County indicate a positivity rate of 8.8%. New Cases per day per 100,000 npopulation now at 23.60. Vaccines still recommended as the best tool against COVID. There have been just over 272,000 vaccine doses administered in Imperial County. The vaccine is available at several Pharmacies, Clinicas De Salud and at thye County Public Health Department.
