Imperial County Health Department officials are updating the local Health Officer order on wearing masks indoors.

October 31, 2021 , at 11:59 p.m , the current order requiring individuals , regardless of vaccination status , to wear a face covering or mask in all public indoor settings in Imperial County will end.  At Midnight November 1 , Imperial County guidelines will align with current California Department of Public Health masking guidance that requires individuals who are not vaccinated to wear face coverings in indoor public settings and businesses , was well as certain settings regardless of vaccination status. The Imperial County public Health Department urged residents to continue to follow COVID-19 safety precautions , including frequent hand washing , maintaining social distance in public and staying home when sick.
