A Conserve Alert is in effect.

The Imperial Irrigation District has issued a Conserve Alert for the Imperial and Coachella Valleys. The Alert is in effect through Thursday , August 5. IID customers are asked to set your AC to 78 degrees or higher , give major appliances a break between the hours of 4 - 9 and turn off all unnecessary lights and electrical equipment. By conserving energy it takes stress off the energy grid , helps maintain a reliable energy delivery system and helps avert power outages.
