(49 year old arrested)....It happened Wednesday morning.

The man drove up to the Border Patrol Checkpoint on Highway 86, near Salton City. During a records check Border Patrol agents found the man had an outstanding felony warrant. The man was identified as Armando Garcia Altamirano. They said the warrant was not local. The man was turned over to the Imperial County Sheriff's office. The man was booked into county jail, with bail set at $85,000, the amount on the out of state warrant. No other details have been released.
