Saturday is a Free Fishing Day. The first of two Free Fishing in California is Saturday July 3rd. It is a day no sport fishing license is needed. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife urges anglers to fish responsibility and choose those waters not suffering extensively from drought conditions. Keep in mind, all other fishing regulations are in effect, such as bag limits. The next Free Fishing Day will be over the Labor Day Weekend.
