(# more rescued in the Jacumba Wilderness region)....It happened Wednesday night.

The El Centro Border Patrol Station was notified at around 10:23 pm. They were told an undocumented individual was lost and in distress. Using GPS coordinates provided, agents began the search. At around 11:00 pm the agents found not one, but 3 individuals. Welfare checks were performed and it was determined none required medical attention. The 3, all Mexican Nationals, were taken to the El Centro Processing Center. Since October, El Centro Border Patrol agents have rescued 225 individuals abandoned by smugglers, lost or in distress.
