(Teens suspected of vehicle theft)...They were arrested last week.

Calexico Police had been alerted of a stolen vehicle entering Calexico. Officers quickly located the vehicle attempting to flee to Mexicali. The driver refused to yield and a short pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended after the suspect vehicle got stuck in traffic. The driver, a 17 year old Mexicali resident, was arrested for auto theft. During the investigation, officers discovered a second vehicle involved was also stolen and was traveling in tandem with the first vehicle. The driver of that vehicle, a 16 year old Mexicali resident, was also placed under arrest for auto theft. The vehicles were stolen out of Downy, in the Los Angeles area. Both Vehicles were recovered and returned to the rightful owners.
