A U.S. Border Patrol Canine Team found nearly a million dollars worth of cocaine hidden in an SUV Monday.

The SUV was stopped by Border Patrol agents near the Highway 86 checkpoint south of Salton City at about 2:00 p.m. Monday. A Canine alerted to the vehicle and agents were than able to locate a non-factory compartment in the SUV's undercarriage. Nearly 60 pounds of cocaine was found hidden in the compartment. The cocaine has an estimated value of $948,000. The driver of the SUV , a 26-year old woman , a U.S. citizen , was arrested and turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
