U. S. Customs and Border Protection has opened a temporary facility to process individuals in U. S. Border Patrol custody.

The 90,000 square foot facility opened Wednesday on the grounds of the Yuma Sector Border Patrol Facility. The soft-sided facility is climate-controlled and is expected to provide ample room for eating , sleeping and personal hygiene. The facility will also provide additional processing capacity for the Yuma Sector Border Patrol.
