(Residents escape fire)...It was a house fire Sunday night.

The fire in Boulevard was reported at 8:50 pm on Hi Pass Road, near Tierra Del Sol Road north of Interstate 8 and State Route 94. By the time firefighters arrived, 50 percent of the home had been destroyed by fire. A man and a woman were able to safly escape the fire with their three dogs. The Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced couple and their dogs. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
