A four-alarm fire spread through brush Saturday.

The fire was reported in the area of Drew and Lyons  Roads and quickly grew in dense brush. Imperial County Fire Department and soon activated a request for mutual aid. A fourth alarm was issued early Saturday afternoon with help from throughout Imperial County and Yuma. Dense smoke blanketed the south end of the Valley as the fire burned into the night.
