A car ran into an apartment building Saturday.

The incident was reported at about 8:45 a.m. when the car drove into an apartment in the 800 block of Park Avenue in El Centro. No one was injured but the apartment was uninhabitable. The Red Cross was able to assist the displaced family. A short time after the accident El Centro Police responded to a report of a reckless driver in the area of 12th and Park. The driver was said to be driving at a high-rate of speed and circling the area. Police stopped the car and cited the driver for various offenses associated with the accident.
