(Vaccines for 65 and over)....They began Monday.

El Centro Regional Medical Center announced Sunday they had changed location for the vaccines. They said the vaccines for those 65 years of age and older would be at the IV Mall. By noon Sunday people began lining up. By Sunday evening there were hundreds of people in line. By 6:00 am Monday there were reports there was kaos in the South Parking lot at the Mall. El Centro Police were on scene blocking off areas and trying to control the crowd. Sunday evening ECRMC employees handed out numbers to those waiting in line. The hospital had said they had 600 doses on hand. They said they would being administering the vaccine had 7:30 in the morning and continue until they ran out. There is no report as to how long that took. Pioneers Memorial Hospital Healthcare District was also administering COVID 19 Vaccines to 65 and older residents. They had 300 doses and began administering the vaccine at 7:00 am at the church on Highway 86 and Legion Road. The Brawley location was reported more orderly than the El Centro Location.
