An early morning fire caused extensive damage to the Gale Transfer Yard in Yuma.

The fire was reported at 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of South 3rd Avenue. Arriving firefighters found heavy smoke and flames from a large stack of wooden boxes , 2 large dumpsters , 2 large cones boxes on one property and several work vehicles were burning on an adjacent property. Firefighters remained on the scene throughout the night. Cause of the fire is under investigation but authorities said a human cause is suspected.
