El Centro Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Friday morning.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of North 17th Street at about 5:35 a.m. Friday. A 23-year old man was found with a gunshot wound. The Man , an El Centro resident , was treated at the scene and ultimately flown to an out-of-Valley trauma center for treatment. El Centro Police are asking that anyone who might have information about the shooting contact the ECPD Investigations Division.
