The Tuesday numbers show there are more than 200 additional active COVID-19 cases in Imperial County over the Monday report.

The number of active cases of the virus went from 1,518 on Monday to 1,729 on Tuesday. The number of patients hospitalized with the coronavirus went from 151 on Monday to 165 on Tuesday but , according to the Imperial County Health Department figures , the number of patients on ventilators dropped from 83 on Monday to 34 on Tuesday. The number of deaths attributed to the virus went up 3 , from 446 to 449. El Centro Regional Medical Center reports that they have an inpatient census of 129 with 86 of those patients COVID-19 positive.
