(Blue Angels winter training)...It starts this month.

The US Navy Flight Demonstration Team will arrive in January. The Blue Angels have trained at Naval Air Facility El Centro for decades. When the team flies in, there will be something new. The team will be using new aircraft this season. The Blue Angels will now be flying F/A 18 E/F Super Hornet Fighter Jets. For the past 34 years the Blue Angels have flown F/A 18 Hornet Fighter Jets. While the team will be training for their 2021 tour season. The season is expected to kick-off with their annual Air Show at NAF El Centro. This will be the Blue Angels 76th touring season. The team is homebased in Pensacola, Florida, with winter training at NAF El Centro.
