El Centro Police officers on patrol took another gun off the streets.

On Saturday morning, officers made contact with a man in the area of Imperial Avenue and Euclid Street. Officers located drug paraphernalia and a substance believed to be fentanyl on the man. Officers also discovered an unregistered handgun inside the suspects backpack. The man was booked at Imperial County Jail on charges including Illegal Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Narcotics.
