The Alternate Care Site ( ACS ) at the Imperial Valley College Gym has reopened.

Local healthcare officials said that the ACS went online at 7:00 a.m. Thursday. The reopening is due to the current surge in COVID cases in Imperial County. The facility at IVC will see patients who are close to discharge from local hospitals and will transferred directly from the hospitals. The public will not be able to access care directly at the ACS. The facility initially opened at the end of May this year and was used until August. The facility was kept in " warm " status with a limited amount of equipment in case it would be needed again.
