The Imperial Irrigation District donated a number of surplus supplies to the Brown Bag Coalition.

The supplies included items such as bed sheets , comforters , towels , pillows , camp cots , first aid kits as well as miscellaneous toiletries. The items are from the IID's sequestration program conducted early in the pandemic. In the sequestration program , a number of IID employees volunteered to both live and work at their jobsite in order to stay safe rom the coronavirus while ensuring the reliable delivery of water and energy services to IID consumers. The Brown Bag Coalition , which relies on community donations to help the homeless population , shared the IID donations with Our Lady of Guadalupe's 50-bed shelter for men.
