(1.3 pounds of Fentanyl seized)...It happened at the Highway 86 Checkpoint.

Earlier this week a Lincoln Sedan drove up to the Checkpoint. A Border Patrol K-9 Detection Team alerted to the vehicle and it was sent to the secondary inspection area. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 3 packages hidden under the rear passenger seat. The packages tested positive for Fentanyl. The packages weighed around 1.3 pounds. The Fentanyl was valued at around $14,145. The 43 year old driver of the vehicle, a US citizen, the vehicle and the narcotics were all turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for further investigation.
