(175 pounds of meth)...It was seized Tuesday evening.

At around 5:25 a man driving a Peterbilt tractor/trailer rig drove up to the Highway 86 Border Patrol Checkpoint. A Border Patrol K-9 detection team alerted to the truck. The vehicle was sent to the secondary inspection area. During the inspection agents discovered several duffle bags in the sleeper compartment of the cab. The bags contained cellophane wrapped packages, that tested positive for methamphetamine. The driver was immediately placed under arrest. The packages weighed over 175 pounds, with an estimated value of $395,550. The driver, a Mexican citizen with a valid crossing card, the truck and the narcotics were all turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.
