El Centro Police recovered a vehicle less than an hour after it was reported stolen.

The Chrysler Pacifica was reported taken shortly after 5:00 p.m. Friday in El Centro. Officers were able to locate the vehicle southbound on 8th Street just minutes later. Police followed the van and were able to stop it near McCabe Road. One person was detained and cited and released for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property. The vehicle was returned to the owner.
