Various agencies are investigating an accident that apparently claimed two lives.

At about 7:24 p.m. Tuesday there was an initial report of a dune buggy overturned and on fire in the desert near Highway 78 and Ted Kipf Road. Apparently two people were trapped in the overturned buggy and died. The California Highway Patrol , Bureau of Land Management and Imperial County Coroner's Office are investigating. No other details are available at this time.
