As Imperial County moves into Stage 2 of the State's Resilience Roadmap the Public Health Department continues to update the daily dashboard of statistics.

The Tuesday morning numbers show that deaths remain at 272 and the number of positive tests is now at 10,486. The Tuesday number also show that 829 individuals are considered to be actively infected with the virus. The 7-day percentage of positive tests is at 8.55%.

With the move to Stage 2 , the County will allow many businesses to reopen , with modifications. Because Imperial County remains on the State's COVID-19 Data Monitoring list , some sectors , such as hair salons and barber shops , will only be allowed to conduct outdoor operations at this time. Dr. Stephen Munday , Imperial County Public Health Officer , emphasized that safety measures , such s stay-at-home order , requirements for social distancing and face coverings , remain in place.
