City of Yuma firefighters responded to a mobile home fire early Thursday morning.

The fire was reported at 4:30 a.m. at the Shady Acres Mobile Home Park on West 3rd Street in Yuma. Arriving firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the mobile home. Two women were able to safely evacuate from the home. Fire personnel were able to quickly knock down th fire before it could spread throughout the home. The interior did sustain significant fire and smoke damage. Cause of he fire remains under investigation.
