(Imperial County Hemp Summit and Expo)….Planning is underway.

The event will be held September 27 and 28th at the Fairgrounds in Imperial. Tuesday the County Board of Supervisors approved a $25,000 grant from the Agriculture Benefit Program. The Summit and Expo will deal with Industrial Hemp, a new crop being introduced in Imperial County. It is being hosted by the County of Imperial in coordination with the Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation and supported by the Imperial County Ag Benefit Grant Program. The event will feature Panels, an Expo, Networking and tours. The Panels will deal with Best Farming Practices, Local Opportunities and resources, Legislation and compliance, processing and manufacturing, and Banking, Financing and Insurance.
